Strictly come Dancing judge says he's no fan of Simon Cowell
Sunday, 31 August 2008
Craig Revel Horwood has panned sharp-tongued X Factor judge Simon Cowell.
The Strictly Come Dancing judge is known for his cutting remarks and is often compared to the music guru.
‘I’m not a fan of him or The X Factor,’ he says. ‘I hate the idea of some person from the gutter who wants to be the next Jordan. It’s so tedious.’
But when asked who he'd like to see take part in the next series of the ballroom show, he admits his first choice would be the judge who recently quit the talent programme.
‘Sharon Osbourne – that would be a scream. I’d also really like Princes William and Harry to be on it, because they’re so awkward and gangly,’ he tells The Daily Mail.
‘And a politician. I think Tony Blair would be brilliant because now he just wants to be a celeb and he has a certain flair.’
Craig, 41, shares the Strictly Come Dancing panel with judges Len Goodman, Arlene Phillips and Bruno Tonioli. The BBC1 show returns in September.
