Teri Hatcher’s abusive uncle has died from cancer in his jail cell.

Richard Stone, 70, was six years into a 14-year prison term in California for sexually abusing the actress and two young girls.

He died of colon cancer at Chuckawalla Valley State Prison on Tuesday.

‘It closes the book on a very, very sad tragedy,’ lawyer Chuck Gillingham, who prosecuted Richard, tells Us Weekly.

‘Unfortunately, those who are still alive will always suffer from his actions.’

Teri, 41, contacted police in 2002 after one of his victims shot herself in the head.

She testified that Richard, the then-husband of her mum’s sister, had abused her when was just five years old.
