Rachel Stevens and Teddy Sheringham picked for Strictly Come Dancing

Footballer and singer added to the line-up

Former S Club 7 singer Rachel Stevens had a brief period of solo success

Rachel Stevens and Teddy Sheringham will appear in the new series of Strictly Come Dancing.

The singer, 30 and the footballer, 42, are set to join the ITV show when it starts on September 13.

‘Rachel has met her dance partner,’ a source tells the Daily Mirror. ‘She is excited and is going to get stuck into training.’

Former England ace Teddy, who used to date glamour model Danielle Lloyd, 24, is being lined up as the show’s sporty contestant.

‘There is a good selection of famous faces from TV and a few from the world of sport,’ the insider continues.

‘It’s one of the best line-ups so far and we can’t wait to see how they get on once they take to the dancefloor.’

Also rumoured to be taking part are Jodie Kidd, Lisa Snowdon, Gary Rhodes, Katie Price, Princess Zara Phillips and former M People frontwoman Heather Smalls.

The official line-up will be announced next week.
