Joely Richardson: Kissing women is easier than kissing men

The actress prefers filming girl-on-girl action

Nip/Tuck actress Joely Richardson dated TV presenter Jamie Theakston

Joely Richardson says she feels more at ease performing love scenes with women.

The Nip/Tuck star shared a steamy kiss with Portia de Rossi during filming for the US TV drama.

‘I wasn’t nervous or uncomfortable because I’ve done kissing women before,’ she says.

‘Portia hadn’t worked for a long time so she was nervous and my protective instinct kicked in because I wanted her to feel at ease.

‘It’s a completely different energy, doing love scenes with women.'

Joely, 43, thinks male co-stars often feel they have something to prove.   

'Sometimes I find men can be quite nervous, ’ she tells Celebs on Sunday.

'But there is a sort of girlie friendship that makes female love scenes easier because I think our egos are less involved.’
