Pair want to get to know the locals in Brignol

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt had twins Knox Leon and Vivienne Marcheline in July

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie hope to impress their new neighbours by throwing a drinks reception.

The pair moved to a lavish mansion in southern France just before the actress gave birth to twins Knox Leon and Vivienne Marcheline in July.

But until now, they've had little chance to get to know the residents of Brignol.

‘They want to get stuck into village life and become real locals,’ a source tells the Daily Express.

‘They have met town officials who said it is a tradition for newcomers to host an early evening drinks reception for everyone who lives in the village.’

Johnny Depp, 45, and partner Vanessa Paradis, 35, live in nearby village Plan de la Tour.

Brad, 44, and Angelina, 33, are also parents to Shiloh, 2, and adopted kids Maddox, 7, Pax, 4, and Zahara, 3.
