Cheryl Cole hopes husband Ashley doesn't quit his day job.

The new judge on The X Factor reckons the footballer is an awful singer.

‘He’s tone-deaf,’ she says. ‘Absolutely tone-deaf. To the point where he’ll sing along to a song and I’ll say, “Please baby, you’ve got to stop.”’

And Cheryl, 25, insists Ashley, 27, is just as bad at choosing her clothes.

‘He prefers me in my trackie with my hair up and no make-up,’ she says.

‘If Ashley went out and bought something for me, it would probably be a tracksuit.’
