Girls Aloud star says auditions take it out of her
Tuesday, 19 August 2008
Cheryl Cole says her job as a judge on The X Factor has reduced her to tears every night.
The Girls Aloud star says the role leaves her emotionally exhausted.
'At the end of everyday I go home and cry,' she says. 'It's such a rollercoaster. By the end you are mentally drained.
'The only way to deal with it is to go home and talk it through. I just can't switch off.'
Cheryl, 25, joined the show after Sharon Osbourne, 55, quit earlier this year.
'You can't replace Sharon, she's a massive character,' she adds.
'If I was sitting at home I'd miss Sharon, as a fan of the show.
'That's one of my main concerns about being on. But it's not my fault.'
