Babyshambles frontman said to be natural
Tuesday, 19 August 2008
Pete Doherty impressed trainers at a local horse stable so much that they’ve tipped him to become a professional jockey.
The Babyshambles singer recently started learning to ride.
‘None of us could believe it but he is actually a real natural,’ says a pal.
‘Last week he went for a ride and the horse suddenly bolted. We expected Pete to be thrown from the saddle but he was cool as you like.
'He steadied the horse and brought it under control in an instant.’
And now friends reckon Pete, 29, would have a lot of success if he changed career.
‘Pete definitely has potential and could easily race horses if he put the practice in,’ the pal tells the Daily Star Sunday.
‘It’s great for Pete to get outside and avoid all the temptations that have led him astray in the past.’
