Newly single Anne Hathaway is a loser in love

Anne Hathaway’s life should be pretty perfect right now.

But the beautiful star of The Devil Wears Prada's charmed life was plunged into crisis with the recent arrest of her boyfriend – Italian businessman Raffaello Follieri, 30 – on fraud and money-laundering charges.

Anne, 25, dumped Raffaello on 25 June and is now ready to start dating again - if she can find the right kind of partner.

'Kindness is very important. So is patience and a sense of humour,' she says. 'You have to have things in common and both have to be in love – love is an obvious one. And respect.

'Nice guys are few and far between, so they must be valued and supported and encouraged to remain nice.'

But men are a little bit in awe of the actress.

'I’ve intimidated men my entire life,' Anne admits, 'and it has nothing to do with fame. I’m a really strong person.'
