Girls Aloud singer asks for southern fried food on her rider

Cheryl Cole is a fan of spicy southern American dishes

Cheryl Cole will be tucking into some spicy home-cooked food at the Virgin Mobile V Festival this weekend.

The 25-year-old Girls Aloud star will be performing at the music event in Essex and Staffordshire this weekend with her bandmates.

And on her rider she’s requested southern fried chicken, corn bread, sweet potato mash, green beans and waffles to snack on before she gets up on stage.

Nicola Roberts, 22, has ordered McDonald’s burgers, strawberry milkshakes and apple pies.

Kimberley Walsh, 26, has requested Tex/Mex platters and nachos, Sarah Harding, 25, wants chip butties and Haribo sweets, while Nadine Coyle, 23, will tuck into cupcakes to cater for her sweet tooth.

‘It’s the most colourful rider we’ve received in years,’ an insider tells the Daily Mirror.

‘It certainly beats the usual crisps and beer riders from other bands.’

The five of them will also be treated to pink champagne and Vitamin Water as they relax backstage in the VIP Virgin Mobile Louder Lounge.
