Newlywed leaves husband Max Drummey in the States as she flies into London

Peaches Geldof says she's 'very happy'

Peaches Geldof arrived back in London yesterday without her new husband.

Instead honeymooning like most newlyweds, Max Drummey, 23, has commitments with his band Chester French in the States.

Peaches, 19, returned to her north London flat with a friend, only telling photographers: ‘I’m very happy’.

But despite an official statement saying the 'marriage has the support of family and friends', insiders claim the teenager's dad Sir Bob, 56, who's on holiday in the Mediterranean, is furious.

‘She is in for a huge talking to when they finally meet up,’ a source tells the Daily Mirror. ‘He's worried she has made a huge mistake. She is still very young and he doesn't want her to do anything she will regret.’

In contrast, Max’s father Paul, 50, has given his blessing to the union.

‘We’re very happy for both of them,’ he tells the Daily Star. ‘We have met Peaches and are very happy to have her as part of our family.’

The couple have known each other for 2 years but only started dating last month.

Bookies have already started taking bets on when hte marriage will end.
