OMG! Tom Cruise loves Alan Partridge

Actor can recite the character's phrases

Tom Cruise attended the Tropic Thunder premiere with wife Katie Holmes in LA

Tom Cruise is said to be a big Alan Partridge fan.

The show's creator Steve Coogan and Tom attended the Tropic Thunder screening in LA on Monday.

And the Top Gun star apparently started reciting catchphrases used by the famous BBC comedy character.

‘Steve was actually really taken aback by it all because Tom was tickled by the idea of Partridge’s sports casual clothing,’ says a source.

‘He kept coming up to Steve and declaring: “I’m sports casual.”

'How surreal must that be to have Tom Cruise announcing that to you in Hollywood?’

And Tom, 46, and Steve, 42, hit it off so well that he’s arranged for them to hook up.

‘He was really insistent that Steve meet up with him for dinner soon,’ the source tells the Daily Star.

‘He suggested The London, Steve looked really flattered but embarrassed by the attention.’

Meanwhile, the premiere was picketed by protestors, who object to the portrayal of disabled people in the film.
