SPOILER ALERT Home & Away's Axel Hay and Jai Fernandez in death crash

Upset in Summer Bay as hit and run costs youngster his life

Home & Away's Axel Hay is left badly injured in hospital

Home And Away’s Axel Hay and Jai Fernandez are left for dead after a tragic hit and run accident.

The lads – played by Trent Dalzell and Jordan Rodrigues – are knocked off a stolen scooter by a drunk Larry Jefferies (Paul Gleeson).

He leaves the boys at the scene but while Jai escapes relatively unharmed, Axel is seriously hurt.

He later dies from his injuries.

The scenes will air on 11-12 September on Channel 5.
