Former presenter says he's open to offers
Tuesday, 12 August 2008
John Leslie has revealed that he wants to return to TV – but under a different name.
The former Blue Peter and This Morning presenter quit the public eye after his reputation was shattered following false allegations of indecent assault.
But now he's planning to relaunch his career using his real name John Stott.
John, 43, says he misses the buzz of working in television.
'If somebody would consider me, I wouldn’t chuck it away,' he tells Daily Star Sunday. 'But I’m killing off John Leslie – I’m done with being him.’
Charges against John of rape were dropped last month. In 2003 he was acquitted of 2 counts of indecent assault.
