Mel B: I can't wait to have twins

Scary Spice is longing to have babies with new husband Stephen Belafonte

Mel B and husband Stephen Belafonte are best friends

Mel B and Hollywood producer Stephen Belafonte, who she married in a secret ceremony in Las Vegas on 6 June last year, are ready to make babies together.

‘Steve’s one of eight and has two sets of twins in his family, so I’m really hoping we’ll have twins, too,’ says Mel, 33.

She already has two daughters: Phoenix, 9, by ex-husband Jimmy Gulzar, and 16-month-old Angel from her stormy romance with Eddie Murphy, but she wants a big family.

Based in California, both Mel and Stephen work hard but they make sure they make time for the children.

'On our weekends off we’ll either go down to Palm Springs with the kids or go to the beach,' she explains. We have a barbecue every other weekend and people over to the house.

'The sun shines every day in LA and that makes everyone want to smile. It's nice.'
