Cabbie Mitch to cover for DJ Danny Baker

Mitch Winehouse will host Danny Baker's show while the DJ is on holiday

Amy Winehouse’s dad Mitch will host a slot on BBC Radio London next month.

The cabbie is being lined up to replace Danny Baker, 51, while he's on holiday.

‘We’re delighted he’s agreed,’ says the show's assistant editor Justin Kings.

But Mitch, who will make his debut on 1 September, insists he won't be talking about his troubled daughter.

'I'm looking forward to it,' he tells thelondonpaper.

'There's one thing you can guarantee: I won't be lost for words.

'I'll not be mentioning Amy - that's a big no-no.'

Mitch, 57, is one of several guest hosts filling in for Danny between August 18 and September 12.
