Singer will play Henry VIII's wife Anne of Cleves
Wednesday, 6 August 2008
Joss Stone will join the cast of BBC drama The Tudors for its next series.
The singer has been signed up to play Henry VIII's fourth wife, Anne of Cleves.
But she’ll be made to look unattractive because her character was said to be so ugly that the royal, played by Jonathan Rhys Meyers, 31, had the marriage annulled.
‘It's not the most flattering role,’ a source tells the Daily Mirror.
Joss, 21, made her acting debut as a witch in 2006 dragon film Eragon.
