Kiefer Sutherland: I was terrified devil car would get me

Actor was spooked out by film he watched as a child

Kiefer Sutherland says he feared for his life after watching a low-budget horror movie as a youngster.

The actor was convinced a haunted car was coming after him, even though he lived in a tower block.

‘There was a film called The Car and it was a black Lincoln with yellow windows and it was possessed by the devil,’ he tells the Daily Star Sunday.

‘It went into this small town and ran everybody over. This car could go through houses.

‘Even though I lived on the 14th floor of an apartment complex in Toronto I was still scared this car was going to manage to get me!’

Kiefer, 41, plays secret agent Jack Bauer in 24.
