Footballer's sibling John Rooney needs a place to stay
Saturday, 9 August 2008
Wayne Rooney’s younger brother John is moving into the footballer’s £4million Cheshire mansion.
The 17-year-old, who lives in Croxteth, Liverpool, has just signed for League Two team Macclesfield Town.
And he needs a place to stay while he’s contracted to them.
‘Staying at Wayne’s means a lot less hassle for John commuting to games and training,’ says a source.
‘There aren’t too many young footballers starting out who get the chance to live in luxury digs.
'He’ll have a string of team-mates turning up for a cuppa and will be expected to help with washing up.’
But John’s friends have been teasing him about the move.
‘A lot of John’s new team-mates have been laughing about Wayne getting stung by the credit crunch,’ the source tells The Sun.
‘They were kidding him, saying John will have to refill Wayne’s Pot Noodle cupboard if he doesn’t pay rent money.’
Wayne lives at the property with wife Coleen McLoughlin, 22.
