He says the actor wasn't over the limit when he crashed

Transformers director Michael Bay insists Shia LaBeouf was not drunk when he was involved in a car crash last Sunday.
The actor was arrested on suspicion of drink driving after cops said he ‘showed outward signs of intoxication’.
But Michael, 43, claims he wasn't over the limit.
‘You’re gonna see - that’s gonna go away,’ he says.
‘That’s fresh news. He was not drunk. He was drinking hours and hours before.’
It is thought Shia was at a Hollywood bar watching a band with co-star Isabel Lucas, 23, before the accident.
He was treated at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center for a serious hand injury after the smash.
‘I spoke to him yesterday in the hospital,’ Michael tells Access Hollywood.
‘His two fingers are pretty mashed, but we’re figuring out a way to shoot around it, kind of write it in the story.’
Shia, 22, will resume filming Transformers 2 next month.
