Kerry Katona was said to be so distraught when her nanny threatened to leave that she gave her a 50% pay rise.
The TV star is said to have offered Gemma, who was already on £26,000 a year, an extra £13,000 to stay – much to the disgust of her husband Mark Croft, 38.
‘When Kerry has problems she throws money at them and hopes they will vanish,’ a pal tells the News Of The World.
‘That infuriated Mark so much he stormed off. He was at the end of his tether. It's not like him to leave her [which] shows how serious he was about this.’
Kerry, 27, is mum to Heidi, 2, and Max, 4 months, with Mark. She also has daughters Molly, 6, and Lilly-Sue, 4, with ex husband Brian McFadden, 28.
She denies Gemma and Mark theatened to leave. 'It's all a load of bollocks,' she tells OK!
