Westlife's Kian Egan auditions his fiancee for new girl band

Former Hollyoaks star Jodie Albert shows she has what it takes

Kian Egan and fiancee Jodi Albert plan to marry next year

Westlife star Kian Egan has joined forces with Louis Walsh in a bid to form a female version of the chart-topping group.

And at open auditions held in Dublin, his fiancée Jodie Albert was one of the girls to make it through to the next round.

'Ireland’s had 2 very successful boy bands and I think it’s time for the girls to step up,’ Kian says.

Jodie, 25, played Debbie Dean in Hollyoaks for 2 years and also had a top 10 hit with Girl Thing in 2000.

They got engaged on Christmas Day 2007 and plan to marry next year.
