Singer checks out after being monitored overnight
Tuesday, 29 July 2008
Amy Winehouse left hospital shortly after 9.45am this morning.
The singer was rushed to University College Hospital last night after suffering a ‘reaction to medication’.
But after being monitored overnight, she was allowed to go via a private exit.
A spokeswoman said Amy, 24, who was diagnosed with emphysema last month, was in ‘good spirits’.
And her dad Mitch, 57, told BBC Radio One Newsbeat she was well enough to eat a KFC meal with him in the hospital.
He has also revealed Amy, whose nan Cynthia died of cancer, has a benign tumour on her breast.
