David Walliams' stalker is sectioned

Sarah Bartholomew is banned from contacting him

Little Britain star David Walliams was stalked by Sarah Bartholomew for 4 years

David Walliams' stalker has been sectioned under the Mental Health Act.

Sarah Bartholomew, 29, from Essex, has also been issued with a restraining order banning her from contacting the star.

The former veterinary nurse harassed the Little Britain comic for 4 years – bombarding him with letters and emails.

She also sent him gifts including a toy donkey, a Doctor Who book and a set of Are You Being Served? DVDs.

She became obsessed with David after meeting him at a question and answer session in 2004, Highbury Corner Magistrates' Court heard.

One text she sent to his agent read: ‘I want David more than anything and the knowledge that no one else will ever touch him again.

She also said she wanted to touch the comedian's 'perfect bare flesh'.

Sarah will remain at a psychiatric hospital until doctors feel she poses no threat to herself or anyone else.

David first made a complaint about her to police in April.
