Kelsey Grammer: Work stress brought on heart attack

Axe of sitcom Back To You led to health problems

Actor Kelsey Grammar starred in hit comedies Cheers and Frasier

Kelsey Grammer says the pressure of having his sitcom Back To You cancelled led to his heart attack 7 weeks ago.

The actor, 53, was paddle-boarding in Hawaii with his wife Camille, 39, when he had chest pains and was rushed to hospital.

'It was a very stressful time for me, and a surprise to me [that it was cancelled],' he tells People.

'But you know, everything that doesn't kill us - which it almost did - makes us stronger.'

The Frasier star, who says his health has improved, plans to take more time out.

'I have other things that matter to me, like my wife and family,' he says.
