Actor keen to protect his family's privacy
Friday, 25 July 2008
Brad Pitt has threatened legal action over snaps taken of his family by paparazzi at his French estate.
The actor's lawyer says the photos were taken using a powerful telephoto lens and sold to an unidentified buyer.
His legal rep Yael Holtkamp insists they will sue if they are used in any publication.
‘The taking of the photos constitutes a malicious violation of Mr Pitt’s privacy, including under the laws of California and France,’ he states in a letter published on thesmokinggun.com.
It is thought one photo agency had already posted the images on its website, but has since taken them down.
Brad, 44, and his partner Angelina Jolie, 33, welcomed Knox Leon and Vivienne Marcheline, into the world on 12 July.
They are reportedly in talks with various publications about the exclusive first photos of the newborns.
The couple are already parents to daughter Shiloh, 2, and adopted kids Maddox, 6, Pax, 4 and Zahara, 3.
