Singer says dwindling family values are to blame
Thursday, 24 July 2008
Seal thinks it is safer to live in Los Angeles than London.
The singer says increasing knife crime means the capital is now worse than the Hollywood neighbourhoods dominated by gangs.
‘LA is no more dangerous than London – in fact you could say it’s less so,’ says Seal, 45.
‘But I think it’s more dangerous all over the world. We live in a very reckless age.’
The singer believes crime is on the rise because children no longer grow up in stable homes.
‘Over a period of time we’ve witnessed the deconstruction of family values, and I think that’s the problem,' he tells the Daily Star.
Seal, who was born in London, now lives on America’s West Coast with his wife, Project Runway host Heidi Klum, 35.
