LA Galaxy star asks Ted to join his football academy

David Beckham has now mended the rift with his father

David Beckham has appointed his dad as an ambassador for his football academy.

Ted Beckham, 60, will hand out prizes to kids at the coaching school in London, reports the Sunday Mirror.

The pair fell out after Ted wrote David Beckham: My Son without his permission.

But after Ted nearly died of a heart attack in September last year, David, 33, has been keen to heal the rift.
