6ft Barry Manilow does not weigh 7st says spokesman

Singer is snapped looking tired and gaunt

Barry Manilow's busy lifestyle keeps him trim

Barry Manilow has been snapped walking along a beach in Malibu looking rather thin and tired.

The lanky 65-year-old singer's weight has droppped to just over 7st, claims Globe magazine but Barry’s spokesman says the report is untrue and he's absolutely fine.

‘No, he’s not ill,’ he tells the Daily Mail. ‘He is rehearsing for his new show in Las Vegas, recording his new album, recording an original rock album, putting together an arena show and sometimes even enjoying the beach.’

Two years ago 6ft Barry underwent hip surgery, yet continues to perform an energetic show at the Las Vegas Hilton and is preparing for gigs at London's O2 arena in December.

As you can see in this 1994 photograph, the years have barely changed him - but he's now a blond.
