Comedian calls on DJ Jonathan Ross for support

Ricky Gervais read about the missing dog in his local paper

Ricky Gervais is scouring his local area in search of a missing dog.

He's been looking for the 8-month old pup who went missing while out with a dog walker in Hampstead Heath.

And the comedian has even roped in pal Jonathan Ross, 47.

‘Ricky read about the missing pooch - a whippet called Manon - in his local paper,’ a source tells the Daily Mirror.

‘He's doing all he can to help find the poor creature and has even roped in celebrity pal and fellow local resident, Jonathan Ross, to help.

'He spent much of the weekend looking round parks and gardens, calling out to Manon.’

Ricky, 47, and Jonathan have each donated £1,000 towards a reward.
