Amanda Mealing found it difficult to cope with fame at a young age

Amanda Mealing has let slip about her outrageous behaviour with childhood friend Patsy Kensit.

The actress, who plays Connie Beauchamp in Holby City, has admitted they both struggled to cope with fame at a young age.

‘Patsy and I went of the rails as teens but managed to come back,’ she tells Saturday.

‘We know how difficult it is to have success as a child in an adult world.’

The pair originally met as schoolgirls at the Italia Conti Academy and were reunited on the BBC medical drama.
