Actress joins all-star cast for big screen adaptation of Nine

Kate Hudson makes her singing debut in new musical Nine

Kate Hudson is set to take on her first singing role in the movie adaptation of Broadway musical Nine.

Kate, 29, plays a roving reporter for a fashion magazine working in Italy, alongside Nicole Kidman, 41, Penelope Cruz, 34, and Judi Dench, 73.

Director Rob Marshall has described Kate’s singing and dancing abilities as so ‘revelatory’ that an new song has been added to the soundtrack for her.

Filming begins in the UK in October.
