Whitney Houston will make her comeback in November

Whitney Houston's comeback album delayed

Singer’s voice said to have been damaged by smoking

Tuesday, 15 July 2008

Whitney Houston's latest record is said to sound amazing – thanks to singing lessons to get her voice back to its best.

The album was expected to be released this summer, but has been pushed back to later this year.

Sources claim smoking had taken its toll on her voice, so record execs sent Whitney, 44, to a vocal coach to help her hit the high notes.

‘She was smoking a lot,’ a source tells the Daily Mirror. ‘Her voice was almost unrecognisable. But now she sounds terrific – she's going to blow everybody away.’

Her as-yet-unnamed album is due out on 10 November.

I have been a big fan of hers from the beginning. I was not just 2 or 3 months ago when she came out. I am happy of her comeback. Her voice has helped me overcome obstacles in my life especially the last few years with Cancer and maintaing a positive outlook while going to college as well. She made me dream the impossible and has helped fulfilling my lifelong goal to teach individuals with disabilities of elementary children. Thanks, Whitney! We all miss you. I do.

Whether Whitney's album is gonna be delayed by a few months more or less does not really matter. Important is that she needs to be in the best vocal shape she can be. Everybody will judge her on this comeback. I hope for her she can turn it into a massive success just like Mariah's "MIMI" album in 05. Whitney deserves our trust in her and she needs our love and dedication now more than ever. She has blessed us with 3 decades of wonderful music and some rather entertaining interviews. Whitney you define the term DIVA. You are the ORIGINAL! We love you!
