Whitney Houston will make her comeback in November

Whitney Houston's latest record is said to sound amazing – thanks to singing lessons to get her voice back to its best.

The album was expected to be released this summer, but has been pushed back to later this year.

Sources claim smoking had taken its toll on her voice, so record execs sent Whitney, 44, to a vocal coach to help her hit the high notes.

‘She was smoking a lot,’ a source tells the Daily Mirror. ‘Her voice was almost unrecognisable. But now she sounds terrific – she's going to blow everybody away.’

Her as-yet-unnamed album is due out on 10 November.
