Boyzone star's London home targeted by thieves
Saturday, 12 July 2008
Stephen Gately had £80,000 worth of jewellery stolen when his home was burgled.
Thieves took a £20,000 custom-made Rolex watch he bought with his first pay cheque from Boyzone royalties.
A Cartier diamond and an expensive bracelet given to him by civil partner Andy Coules were also nicked.
‘I’m deeply upset because these items had great sentimental value,’ he tells the Sunday Mirror.
‘They’ll probably be sold for a fraction of their true value.’
The Irish singer, 32, wasn't at his home in Highgate, London, when the break-in happened.
