James McAvoy says he sympathises with women working in showbiz.

The actor reckons the opposite sex have it harder than men when it comes to the movie business.

‘I saw a clip of something – this girl has on a humongous fat suit and she's singing that “my milk shake brings all the boys to the yard” song, and I just felt like, “That's so disrespectful”,’ he tells Details.

‘I would not want to be a woman in this industry. Horrible.’

James, 29, is married to actress Anne-Marie Duff, 37.
