Pete Wentz: I've been talking to my unborn baby

Fall Out Boy bassist is already bonding with his child with wife Ashlee Simpson

Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz are expecting their first child in the autumn

Pete Wentz has revealed that he's taking prospective fatherhood seriously.

The Fall Out Boy bassist says he's been reading pregnancy books in the run-up to the birth – and talking to wife Ashlee Simpson’s bump.

‘The baby hears [its mother] all the time,’ he tells People. 'The father's voice isn't familiar unless you talk to it, so I talk to it all the time.’

Pete, 29, says the pregnancy is going 'really well' – and hints that he and 23-year-old Ashlee are already thinking about having more.

‘We'll have to base the next one on how we do on the first one,’ he says.
