Aussie singer named the most popular star

Kylie Minogue beat Terry Wogan in the survey

Kylie Minogue has been voted Britain's Best Loved Celebrity.

The singer pipped radio presenter Sir Terry Wogan, 69, in the poll by website OnePoll.

‘Kylie is the ultimate girl next door,’ John Sewell of OnePoll tells the Daily Mirror.

Strictly Come Dancing host Bruce Forsyth, 80, came third, while Sir Michael Parkinson, 73, and Dawn French, 50, rounded off the top 5.

Last week, Kylie, 40, received an OBE from Prince Charles at Buckingham Palace.
