Jessica Alba wants to influence her daughter positively

Jessica Alba ponders 'laid-back' motherhood

Actress reveals her views on being a mum

Sunday, 13 July 2008

New mum Jessica Alba gave birth to her first child, Honor Marie Warren, last month. Now she's carefully considering how she and husband Cash Warren will influence their daughter.

"Kids' personalities have so much to do with the parents and their mentality," the 27-year-old tells Britain's Sunday Express for their S Magazine. "If you're very paranoid and uptight and won't let your child cross the street, they are going to take on that anxiety. If you're a little more laid-back and make your kids responsible for their actions, you'll probably have an easier time with them. I guess I'll find out."

The actress has also been studying up on children's health issues.

"I've been reading a lot about kids and infections, autism and vaccinations," adds Alba, who suffered from health problems as a child. "I've come to think that perhaps I was a product of my environment or the vaccines or something my mother took when she was pregnant."

Already, Alba finds that her own eating habits have drastically changed.

"I used to be a just a coffee for breakfast, yogurt for lunch girl," she tells the magazine. "Now I have to have something every couple of hours. I turn into Satan if I don't eat."

it's so refreshing to see a holywood star like jessica with the ability to remain level headed in the media spotlight, she's such a great role model for others, perhaps mccain should have chosen her as his running mate as she has such a broard appeal amoung young people, she would get my vote only I can't vote as I'm a Brit, why don't you allow us to vote in your elections then I would convince my fellow Brits to vote for her.... Jessica for prez, I'll be her running mate.
