SPOILER ALERT: Hollyoaks' Amy Barnes flees violent boyfriend

Battered teen finally escapes after brutal beating from Ste Hay

Ashley Slanina-Davies – who plays Amy Barnes – has been at the centre of the domestic abuse storyline

Hollyoaks' Amy Barnes will be seen battered and bruised after another violent outburst from her boyfriend.

In the harrowing scenes the schoolgirl (played by Ashley Slanina-Davies) cowers while Ste Hay (Kieron Richardson) punches and kicks her.

But after this latest assault she finally accepts she has to leave him.

‘It’s the final straw,’ a show insider tells the Daily Star. 'Amy does a runner and the McQueens find her in the village and take her to their house.

‘They are stunned to learn she's been the victim of domestic abuse. They convince her to tell dad Mike and she finally comes clean.’

The scenes will air on Channel 4 at the end of July.
