Angelina Jolie's doctor: Babies not on the way yet

Press conference called but nothing to announce

Angelina Jolie is reported to have arrived at Lenval hospital by helicopter

Angelina Jolie's doctor at the Lenval hospital in Nice called a press conference this afternoon - but there was nothing to announce.

Journalists expected to be told that the 33-year-old Hollywood star had given birth to her twins but they were disappointed.

'Mrs Angelina Jolie and her husband, Brad Pitt, told me to tell you that she is doing absolutely fine,' Dr Sussmann announced.

So when are the babies to be delivered?

'This is something you can't programme,' he insisted. 'You never know for sure. I can't give you a date. Let's say the birth will happen in the weeks to come.'

Angelina has been admitted to the maternity ward - taking over 4 rooms for her family and security guards - so that the final stage of her pregnancy can be monitored.

Brad, 44, visited twice today, the first time with adopted son Maddox, 6, then later on with daughters Shiloh, 2, and Zahara, 3.
