Annual do raises £10 million for singer's Aids Foundation

Sir Elton John’s annual White Tie And Tiara Ball has raised a whopping £10 million for charity.

Over 600 guests – including Liz Hurley, 43, and Elle Macpherson, 45 – paid £3,000 to attend the charity bash at the singer's Windsor mansion.

Sir Elton, 61, and partner David Furnish, 45, were keen to top the £6.1 million raised for their AIDS Foundation at last year’s event.

‘It raises more money every year,’ a spokesman tells the Daily Star.

‘Someone paid over £1 million for a painting. And dinner with Bill Clinton at Gordon Ramsay’s restaurant in New York went for £750,000. It’s a huge boost for the charity.’

Other guests included Mischa Barton, 22, Kelly Osbourne, 23 and Agyness Deyn, 25.
