MTV president Van Toffler says the singer deserves another chance

Britney Spears could perform on stage again at this year’s MTV Video Music Awards.
The singer made her comeback at the event in September 2007 with Gimme More.
And she left organisers red-faced with her lacklustre set that saw an out-of-shape Britney, 26, writhing around on stage.
But MTV Networks Music Group president Van Toffler is prepared to let Brit redeem herself.
‘Everyone deserves a second or third chance, right?’ he tells the Associated Press.
