US hip hop star wants to replace his 'childish' artwork

Pharrell Williams plans to use skin grown in a test tube to cover the tattoos on his arms.
The N.E.R.D. frontman is bored of his existing designs and hopes to start afresh with the help of a pioneering graft technique.
‘It's going to be pricey, but f*** it, it's worth it,’ he says. ‘I got fire on my arms. I don't need fire on my arms! I'm a grown man.
‘There's a place called the Wake Forest Institute For Regenerative Skin Treatment in North Carolina.
'It's basically like getting a skin graft, but you're not taking skin from your ass or legs - these guys actually grow the skin for you.
‘First you have to give them a sample of your skin, which they then replicate. Once that's been done, they sew it on - and it's seamless.’
But Pharrell, 35, is already considering what to replace his artwork with.
‘When it's healed you can go get whatever tattoo you want,’ he says.
