Rhys Ifans is heartbroken after being dumped by Sienna Miller

Rhys Ifans has decided to escape to his native Cardiff to get over his break-up with Sienna Miller.

The 26-year-old Factory Girl actress dumped him over the phone earlier this month.

The couple had been planning a romantic trip to the Caribbean to celebrate his 40th birthday next month. But now Rhys has decided to spend 2 weeks in Wales instead with members of his band The Peth.

‘Obviously Rhys is a gutted that his romantic 40th birthday holiday has been scuppered,’ a source tells the Daily Mirror. ‘But he's making the best of it by getting together with the lads and escaping to Cardiff.

‘He'll be meeting up with his bandmates and having a few jamming sessions to help him forget his romantic troubles.

'It may not be a private Caribbean island, but Rhys believes home is just what the doctor ordered. It'll be his chance to hang out with the boys - and get over Sienna.’

Yesterday, Rhys spent the day watching tennis at Wimbledon. He joined Davinia Taylor, 30, Jamie Hince, 39, and Kimberly Stewart, 28, at the Evian VIP suite.
