Judge recognises troubled singer is making progress in her personal life
Wednesday, 25 June 2008
Britney Spears will be allowed her children for overnight stays for the first time since January.
The singer lost custody of Jayden James, 18 months, and Sean Preston, 2, after she was hospitalised at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.
But at a closed hearing in LA yesterday, the judge has recognised her recent progress – and granted more access.
‘There was a change in visitation status that was ordered by Commissioner Gordon this morning,’ Superior Court spokesman Alan Parachini said after the hearing yesterday.
‘I think any judge is pleased to see progress being made by parties in a case.’
Ex-husband Kevin Federline, 30, currently has full custody of the boys. A trial to review permanent arrangements is set for August.
Brit, 26, is being cared for by her dad Jamie, who is looking after her finances, estate and wellbeing.
