Author claims the Playboy founder even had a gay encounter

Hugh Hefner has a legendary appetite for sex

Hugh Hefner's sexual escapades are set to be revealed in a new book.

In Mr Playboy: Hugh Hefner And The American Dream, author Steven Watts even claims the Playboy founder once had a gay encounter.

'Hefner's thirst for sexual experience became so strong that he even had a homosexual experience,' says Steven.

'One evening in Chicago he was propositioned and, according to [Playboy co-founder] Eldon Sellers, he thought: "What the hell." As far as I know, the guy just gave him [oral sex].'

The book also says he regularly indulged in group sex.

Hugh, 82, gave the author access to personal documents before he wrote the biography.

He says it's the most authoritative book that's ever been written about him.
