Sir Alan Sugar's rejected contestant to work for Birmingham City managing director Karren Brady
Monday, 23 June 2008
The Apprentice runner-up Claire Young has landed her first job since losing out in the hit BBC show – and she’ll be earning more than winner Lee McQueen.
Birmingham City managing director Karren Brady, 39, who featured in the interview stage of the programme, has offered her a sales position.
'If you don't hire Claire, I will,’ she told Sir Alan Sugar, 61, during the interrogation process.
It's thought Claire, 28, will be earning more than the £100k salary 30-year-old Lee was awarded as his prize.
‘I couldn't ask for a better opportunity,’ she tells What’s On TV. ‘Karren Brady is a great role model. It's a great role.’

I remembered Karen saying she'd hire Claire and I am glad she has stuck to it. I think Alan Sugar made the wrong decision in the end, but at least the Blues know that they have a go getter on their side now, 2 including Karen. Well done Claire!!

1 lucky reader can party with this great prize!!
