Larry Birkhead spent £1,400 on Anna Nicole Smith lingerie

Larry Birkhead has spent £1,400 on underwear worn by his ex, the late Anna Nicole Smith.

The 35-year-old attended an auction at Planet Hollywood Resort And Casino in Las Vegas on Saturday.

It is thought he wanted the pink Playboy bustier and white negligee as a keepsake for their 1-year-old daughter Dannielynn.

‘I have a lot of history I have to put together that she doesn't really know about,’ he tells the Associated Press.

‘Playboy was such a big part of Anna's career. You know, it's not something I can show today, but something down the road.’

Larry was given sole custody of Dannielynn after Anna, 39, passed away from a prescription drugs overdose in February 2007.
