Jennifer Clark could be forced to pull out of Big Brother to deal with the court case involving her estranged husband David.
The part-time model missed a hearing last week – and the judge has criticised Jenny, 21, for not telling the court she would be unavailable because of her appearance on the Channel 4 show.
She has now been ordered by the court to explain her absence – which means Jenny may have to quit the house to sort out the legal wrangle. BB bosses are expected to tell her of the judge's ruling.
‘Jennifer has been really stupid to go into the house with this legal situation hanging over her,’ a show source tells the Sunday Mirror.
But family and friends have rallied to her support. ‘Jennifer has done nothing wrong criminally,' a friend explains. 'It's a civil matter to do with the breakdown of her marriage.
‘She was desperate to go on the show and was delighted to win a place. She saw it as a way of getting away from her troubles.’
A Big Brother spokesman adds: ‘No legal request has been made to us to remove Jenny from the house. It's a private matter that we will not comment on.’
Jenny and David, 24, separated in April. They have a 2-year-old daughter Maddiline.
